A LARGEST URBAN PARK OF 1,000 ACRES
DEDICATED BY LORD STANLEY, GOVERNOR GENERAL OF CANADA IN 1889.

Estimated at 8,000,000 visits per year, Stanley Park has a pitch and putt golf course, Vancouver Aquarium, a formal rose garden, Rhododendron gardens, Children's Farmyard, Miniature Railway, tennis courts, bathing beaches, a children's water park, a heated ocean side swimming pool, Theatre Under the Stars. Refreshment stands along with four restaurants are strategically placed throughout the park.
The Stanley Park Seawall, took nearly six decades to complete, which rings the peninsula of Stanley Park. Most spots are now physically separated so that in-line skaters and cyclists can peacefully co exist with pedestrians.
On the outer edge of the park as you approach it, you will see the Vancouver Rowing Club's Tudor style building.
A bank of 17 tennis courts is positioned near the Beach Avenue entrance to Stanley Park. They are all free on a first come, first served basis, limit of 30 minutes play if someone is waiting. The Stanley Park Shuttle is a free bus service operating from June 17 to September 22. The shuttle has 14 specially signed stops hitting the park's most popular attractions and natural highlights.
