I, William Robins of Moreton in Marsh in the County of Gloucester Gentleman of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do this Seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four Make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (i.e.) I Give and Bequeath unto my dear Wife Mary All that cottage or Tenement and promises I lately purchased of John Hooper situate standing and being in Moreton in Marsh aforesaid now in the occupation of William Hooper To hold the same and every part thereof unto my said Wife and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease I Devise the same with the Appurtenances unto my only daughter Elizabeth her Heirs and Assigns for ever And my Will and mind is That the Receipt and Recripts of my said daughter shall from time to time be good and valid discharges to the Tenant of the said premises for the time being such sum or sums of money as may be expressed therein to be received notwithstanding her coverture with any Husband or Husbands So that neither the Rent or the said premises shall be subject to the debts Controul or Engagements of such Husband or Husbands nor shall she be or they on any considerations whatsoever Sell Release Mortgage Convey or incumber the same premises on any part thereof I do hereby Give Devise and Bequeath unto the Pastor or Minister of the Protestant dissenting Independent Chapel in Moreton in Marsh aforesaid for the time being One annuity or clear yearly sum of Twenty Shillings of lawful British money for ever to and for his own use and benefit to be issuing and payable out of and from the said cottage or Tenement and premises by two half yearly payments The first payment thereof to begin and and commence on the twenty fifth day of March or the twenty ninth day of September which may next happen after my decease and to continue to be paid and payable on those days with the same powers of Entry Distress and sale in case of non-payment of the same within thirty days next after either of the said days whereon the sums ought to be paid as aforesaid (being lawfully demanded) as are usual in such cases All my Household furniture Plate linen China the interest and proceeds of any sum or sums of Money due and owing to me on any security or securities at the time of my death I Give and Bequeth unto my said Wife for and during the term of her natural life And from and after her decease I desire the same may be equally divided between my Son William and my said daughter on attaining his or her age of twenty one years and if only one arrives at that age then to such only Child his or her Executors Administrators or Assigns by some experienced person whose decision shall be final and I Give and bequeth the same to them accordingly and I do hereby order and direct that a true and compleat Inventory and Valuation of my said personal Estate and effects shall within one week after my decease be taken And I do hereby Nominate and Appoint my said Wife sole executrix of this my Will in Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper To the first sheet thereof set my hand and to the last my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
