Henry Pain, This is the last will and testament of Henry Pain of High Street, Blockley.
I hereby give, devise, and bequeath, to my wife, Ann Pain, for her own use and benefit, absolutely and for ever all my estate and effects, both real and personal, whatsoever, and wheresoever, and of what nature and quality soever and I hereby appoint her the said Ann Pain sole executrix of this my will.
I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand, she shall not sell it or raise money upon it, and at her death shall leave it to one in the family and that it shall continue to go at their death of children to one or another of the family>
